Apple Announces iPad 3 Launch Event for March

With the rapidly expanding gadget market, financial analysts expect the iPad 3 to sell an impressive 10 million units within 3 months of its release. Apple undeniably dominated the sales in the tablet PC niche, with estimates holding that the iPad reached an 80% market share in 2011.

The Hong Kong-based tabloid, Apple Daily, published rumors according to which the iPad 3 will feature a whooping 8 mega-pixel camera. The iPad is expected to have an ARM-based dual core processor, which is likely manufactured by Samsung, a long-time partner of Apple's. Samsung also manufactured the Apple A5, an impressive piece of technology that was included in the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. The A5 contained a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU as well as a dual core PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU. It is believed that the new A6 is will surpass the A5 in almost every respect.
